Weeko Clip Terms of Use

Welcome to Weeko Clip (the "Software").

These Terms of Use (the "Agreement") are a legally binding agreement between you and Weeko Team ("we," "us," or "our") regarding your download, installation, and use of the Software.

Before using the Software, please read this Agreement and the Weeko Clip Privacy Policy carefully.

By installing, launching, or continuing to use the Software, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Agreement.

I. Software License

1. Scope of license

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, we grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to install and use the Software on macOS devices that you legally own or control.

This license grants only the right to use the Software. It does not transfer ownership, source code, or intellectual property rights.

2. Restrictions

Except where applicable law expressly allows and cannot be waived by agreement, or unless we give written permission, you may not:

1. Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to obtain the source code;
2. Bypass, crack, modify, or damage license verification mechanisms;
3. Copy, rent, sell, sublicense, or redistribute the Software;
4. Remove or hide copyright, trademark, or rights notices;
5. Use the Software for illegal activities or to infringe the rights of others.

II. Free Trial and Purchases

1. Free trial

Weeko Clip may provide free features, trial features, or limited-time trials. The specific scope and duration are subject to the Software, App Store page, or official website.

After a trial ends, you may need a valid license to continue using full functionality.

2. License types

Weeko Clip may provide subscription licenses, one-time purchases, or lifetime licenses.

Subscriptions can be purchased through the Apple App Store and may renew automatically under App Store rules unless you turn off auto-renewal.

A lifetime license, if offered, allows long-term use within the version or scope stated at purchase. It does not guarantee that all future updates, new features, or additional services will be free forever.

III. Apple App Store Payment and Subscription Rules

If you purchase through the Apple App Store:

1. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account after confirmation;
2. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal before the renewal date;
3. Renewal charges are handled under Apple account rules;
4. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at: App Store -> Account Settings -> Subscriptions;
5. Purchases are subject to Apple App Store terms and policies.

Unless required by law or Apple rules, completed purchases, refunds, cancellations, and subscription management are handled according to Apple App Store rules.

IV. Feature Use and User Responsibilities

Weeko Clip is a local macOS clipboard history tool. Some features involve clipboard data, file paths, image caches, link access, and system capabilities. You should use these features responsibly and manage your own data.

1. Clipboard history

Clipboard content is created by your own copy actions and may include passwords, verification codes, keys, tokens, card numbers, identity information, private chats, business secrets, file paths, or project paths.

Weeko Clip provides sensitive-content filtering, pause recording, per-type recording toggles, ignored apps, history cleanup, and favorites management, but these are auxiliary protections and cannot identify or filter all sensitive content.

If you handle sensitive information, consider pausing recording, deleting records after use, avoiding favorites for sensitive content, being careful with exported backups, and disabling unnecessary recording types.

Except where the law provides otherwise, risks caused by your own copying, saving, favoriting, exporting, sharing, or failure to clear content are your responsibility.

2. Type recognition, search, and preview

Weeko Clip attempts to recognize text, code, links, colors, images, files, folders, and file groups. Recognition and search may be inaccurate or incomplete.

You should confirm content before copying, opening, exporting, or sharing it.

3. Files, folders, and file groups

For files, folders, image files, and file groups copied from Finder or other apps, Weeko Clip usually stores path references only and does not copy original files.

Path records are not backups. If files are moved, renamed, deleted, or permission changes occur, records may no longer work. File groups record up to the first 100 item paths.

Do not use Weeko Clip as a file backup, sync, or recovery tool.

4. Images

Weeko Clip distinguishes inline clipboard images from image file paths. Inline images may be cached for preview, save-as, and copying again to the clipboard. Image files copied from Finder are usually stored as path references only.

If images contain privacy, copyright, trade-secret, or other sensitive information, you are responsible for deciding whether saving, exporting, sharing, or deleting them fits your security and compliance needs.

5. Link previews

Weeko Clip can recognize URLs as link records. Before opening a link, the Software attempts to show a confirmation.

The link title and favicon feature is off by default. When you enable it, the Software may access links to fetch metadata.

External websites are responsible for their own content, security, availability, and privacy practices. Weeko Clip cannot guarantee that external links are safe, accurate, or available.

6. Favorite backups

Weeko Clip supports exporting favorites as zip files and importing favorites from zip files.

Backups may include text, code, links, colors, and inline images. For files, folders, and file groups, backups usually include path references only.

You are responsible for protecting exported backups and verifying that imported files are trustworthy. Except where the law provides otherwise, data leakage, loss, or overwrite caused by export, import, replacement, sharing, or deletion is your responsibility.

V. Data Storage and Backup Responsibility

Weeko Clip stores data locally, including clipboard history, favorites, image caches, favicon caches, user settings, ignored apps, search indexes, and local state.

Because the Software does not provide cloud backup, we cannot guarantee recovery if data is lost due to hardware damage, system reinstall, disk failure, user deletion, uninstalling the Software, or cleanup tools.

We recommend backing up important data with Time Machine or another backup tool. For important favorites, use the favorite export feature and keep exported zip files secure.

VI. Intellectual Property

The Software and related intellectual property, including code, UI, icons, brand names, documentation, and website content, are owned by Weeko Team or relevant rights holders.

Content you copy, save, import, or create remains owned by you or the original rights holder as applicable.

VII. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Software is provided "as is" and "as available."

We do not guarantee that the Software will always be error-free, permanently compatible with all systems, uninterrupted, accurate in content recognition, able to filter all sensitive content, able to keep all file paths valid, able to make all links safe, or able to prevent all data loss.

macOS updates, App Sandbox limitations, third-party conflicts, hardware changes, system restrictions, user configuration changes, file movement or deletion, network changes, and external website changes may affect the Software.

To the extent permitted by law, Weeko Team is not liable for indirect losses, data loss, business losses, or losses arising from your own handling of clipboard content, file paths, or favorite backups.

VIII. Updates and Termination

We may update this Agreement based on product changes or legal requirements.

The updated Agreement will be published on the official website or in the Software.

If you do not agree to the updated Agreement, stop using and uninstall the Software.

If you violate this Agreement, we may terminate your license.
