WEEKO SHOT GUIDE

Capture, annotate, and finish

This guide follows the current Weeko Shot workflow, from the first system permission to saving, copying, pinning, or recognizing the result.

Enable Screen Recording access

Open Weeko Shot settings, choose Permissions, and enable Weeko Shot under Screen & System Audio Recording. macOS may ask you to restart the app after changing access.

Your first screenshot

  1. 1

    Start from the menu bar

Choose Start Screenshot, Scrolling Capture, Text Recognition, or Color Picker. You can also use the configured global shortcut.

  2. 2

    Select the target

Click a detected window or drag across the exact region you need. Adjust the edges or move the selection before confirming.

  3. 3

    Add context

Use the toolbar for shapes, arrows, lines, freehand drawing, text, and mosaic. Change color, width, or font size as needed.

  4. 4

    Choose the result

Copy to the clipboard, save to your chosen folder, pin the image, recognize text, or start a scrolling capture.

Useful settings

  • Choose PNG for lossless output or JPEG for smaller files.
  • Set a default save folder or ask where to save each time.
  • Enable a floating thumbnail for quick preview, save, or Finder access.
  • Use the local image library to search and manage saved screenshots.

Screen content stays local

Weeko Shot does not send captured images, recognized text, or sampled colors to Weeko Team. Share or attach a screenshot only when you decide to do so.
